Himachal Pradesh Civil Judge Syllabus 2024

The syllabus for the Himachal Pradesh Civil Judge Exam 2024 consists of two main stages: the Preliminary (Objective) Exam and the Main (Descriptive) Exam. Here’s an overview of the syllabus:

Preliminary Exam (Objective Type)

The preliminary exam includes three papers, each of 100 marks. The subjects are:

   • Specific Relief Act
2. Civil Law-II:
   • Indian Contract Act

3. Criminal Law:

Main Exam (Descriptive Type)

The Main Exam consists of five papers:

1. Civil Law-I: (200 Marks)
   • Similar syllabus as Civil Law-I in the Preliminary Exam.
2. Civil Law-II: (200 Marks)
   • Similar syllabus as Civil Law-II in the Preliminary Exam.
3. Criminal Law: (200 Marks)
   • Similar syllabus as Criminal Law in the Preliminary Exam.
4. English Composition: (150 Marks)
   • Essay Writing (100 Marks)
   • Translation from Hindi to English (50 Marks)
5. Language (Hindi in Devanagari Script): (100 Marks)
   • Translation from English to Hindi (30 Marks)
   • Essay Writing in Hindi (50 Marks)
   • Composition (Idioms and Corrections, etc.) (20 Marks)

Viva-Voce (Interview)

Candidates who clear the Main Exam will be called for a viva-voce test, which is worth 150 marks.
