Joint Entrance Examination

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is one of the most prestigious and competitive engineering entrance exams in India. It is conducted in two stages: JEE Main and JEE Advanced.

JEE Advanced

  1. Purpose: JEE Advanced is the entrance exam for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
  2. Eligibility: Only the top performers in JEE Main are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. Additionally, candidates must meet certain criteria regarding age, number of attempts, and qualifying examination performance.
  3. Exam Pattern: The exam consists of two papers, both of which are compulsory:
    • Paper 1 and Paper 2: Each paper includes questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The questions are a mix of MCQs, numerical value questions, and match the following type questions.
  4. Mode: It is conducted in a computer-based format.
  5. Frequency: JEE Advanced is conducted once a year.
